Dear Alumni and Friends of West Chester University:
Student success is at the heart of our philanthropic mission, especially during this unprecedented time. Students are the life blood of WCU, and we are continuing our commitment to them in new and creative ways.
The WCU Foundation, in collaboration with our dedicated corporate partners, has established the Student Emergency Aid Fund to assist students who are experiencing hardships and finding themselves with financial and emotional struggles they never saw coming.
We are doing everything possible to keep our students healthy and safe, including creating the Student Emergency Aid Fund for WCU students who are:
• facing technology gaps that were previously filled through existing on-campus resources,
• confronting unanticipated expenses due to reduced work hours,
• experiencing financial aid and tuition payment difficulties,
• and who are working through the new challenge of completing the semester remotely.
Scholarship assistance, housing, food, basic goods and services—countless avenues of support for our students are required at this critical time. The Student Emergency Aid Fund was created to help lessen the burden of the short and long-term impact of this pandemic on students, and to ensure students can complete this semester and stay on the path to graduation—you can be a resource.
No matter where you are, no matter the size of your gift, you can have an impact on the future of our Golden Rams. Join us in our commitment to continue supporting students—the immediacy of their need is real.
